| Item Description: | I called this a Spectrum Analyzer because it's the closest commonly known instrument to this unit. ANDO calls this an Optical Component Analyzer for DWDM networks. This thing has a single tunable laser source, and many optical power meters. I don't understand the exact method of sampling power at every wavelength but as you can imagine this unit would be much faster than a single Optical Spectrum Analyzer. This is the 1500-1580 nm model. I also have an 8460L with a different wavelength range if you need it There is also a small printer embedded into the top of the AQ8460. Screen is a color LCD. |
